G.I. Joe: Battle Files is a three issue limited series of profile books published by Devil's Due through Image Comics in 2002. Tying in to Devil's Due's recent revival of the Marvel Comics G.I. Joe comics continuity, Battle Files features newly written profiles by Scott Wherle and Josh Blaylock with military consultation from Brian Savage Peterson that give insight into the major characters of the G.I. Joe universe, details on the vehicles used by both G.I. Joe and Cobra, as well as materials giving the histories and command structures of both organizations. Each of the three issues has a different focus, with the first profiling the members and associates of G.I. Joe, the second doing the same for Cobra, and the third focusing on vehicles.
 
Additional material includes a history of Cobra, a history of the Dreadnoks, the Cobra Chain of Command, and a two-page Cobra "propaganda" piece.
